In Q4 2023, the top 5 education apps in Latin America exhibited varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Duolingo - Language Lessons saw consistent weekly revenue, peaking at around $654K in the last week of December. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable peak of approximately 708K in the week of December 4. The app maintained a strong user base, with active users rising to about 7.8M towards the end of the quarter.
Headway: Daily Book Summaries experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, culminating in approximately 282K in the final week of December. Revenue followed a similar upward trend, reaching around $103K in the same period. Active users peaked at about 926K in the last week of December.
Passei Direto - App de Estudos showed a mixed performance. Weekly revenue saw a gradual decline from $102K at the beginning of the quarter to about $53K in the final week. Downloads decreased significantly, ending the quarter at around 3.3K. Active users also declined, settling at approximately 80K by the end of December.
Toca Boca World demonstrated strong growth, with weekly revenue peaking at around $232K in the last week of December. Downloads reached a high of roughly 482K in the same week. Active users increased steadily, achieving a peak of about 5.3M towards the end of the quarter.
Lingokids - Play and Learn maintained a steady performance, with weekly revenue hovering around $62K to $66K. Downloads showed an upward trend, peaking at approximately 88K in the final week of December. Active users also increased, reaching about 248K by the end of the quarter.
