As the year 2023 came to a close, Brazil's fast food and fast casual restaurant app market witnessed varied performance across the top players, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here, we delve into the trends of the top five applications within this dynamic sector.
The McDonald's Offers and Delivery app saw a notable increase in downloads, starting the quarter with 137K and peaking at 308K in the third week of November. Weekly active users also reflected a positive trend, with numbers growing from 2.4M to a high of 3.4M in mid-November, before stabilizing around 2.6M by the year's end.
Burger King Brasil experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning at 88K and ascending to 103K by the final week of December. Weekly active users climbed from 619K to a peak of 831K in mid-November and subsequently settled to 622K by the close of Q4.
Habib's downloads showed growth during the quarter, from 26K to a peak of 45K in the third week of November, followed by a rise to 42K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users demonstrated a steady increment from 142K to 163K over the same period.
The Starbucks Brasil app saw a downward trend in downloads, dropping from nearly 10K to 4.8K. Weekly active users started at approximately 51K, saw a mid-quarter spike to 56K, and ultimately decreased slightly to 45K.
Domino's Pizza Brasil witnessed a decline in downloads from 4.1K in late September to 2.7K by the end of December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 17K throughout the quarter.
