In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top finance apps in Norway showcased varying trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at the performance of Vipps, Revolut: Send, spend and save, Walley, PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, and Mobilbank.
Vipps saw a fairly steady trend in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 3.8K and 6K throughout the quarter. The app experienced a peak of 6K downloads in the week of October 30. Weekly active users ranged from approximately 1.8M to 2M, with a noticeable peak of 2.1M during the week of November 20, before ending the quarter at 1.8M.
Revolut: Send, spend and save showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 2.8K and peaking at approximately 4K in the week of November 13. The app's weekly active users also followed an upward trend, starting at 54K and reaching a high of 59K in the week of November 27, before slightly declining to 56K by the end of December.
Walley demonstrated varying trends in downloads, with a notable peak of 4.5K in the week of December 11. Active users increased steadily from 6.7K at the start of the quarter to a peak of 9.3K in the same week, before slightly dropping to 8.3K by the end of December.
PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage had a stable download rate, averaging around 3K weekly downloads with minor fluctuations. Active users hovered around 95K to 97K throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 94K in the final week.
Mobilbank maintained steady weekly downloads, ranging from 2.6K to 3.3K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 43K, with a peak of 44K in the week of December 4.
