As Q4 2023 comes to a close, Sensor Tower has compiled a performance overview of the top five food delivery services in Brazil. Our comprehensive look into the unified platform data, including both iOS and Android, offers valuable insights into user trends and app popularity.
Starting with iFood comida e mercado em casa, the quarter began with roughly 306K downloads and peaked in early October at 330K, before seeing a gradual decline to 277K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users showed a similar pattern, starting strong at 12M, reaching a high of 12.5M in mid-November, and then tapering off to 11.1M by the year's end.
iFood para Entregadores, catering to delivery personnel, saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at about 52K, slightly dipping mid-quarter, and closing at approximately 36K. Weekly active users for the app ranged from 242K in late September to a low of 201K in mid-December, before bouncing back to 221K.
Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery downloads hovered around 23K at the quarter's start, dipped to roughly 18K in December, and ended slightly higher at 19K. The app's active user base began at 788K, peaked at 815K in early October, and experienced a decrease to 690K by the quarter's end.
For Uber Eats: Food Delivery, downloads were consistent at the start, around 12K, but saw a significant drop to just 114 in mid-December. Weekly active users peaked at 139K in mid-November and fell to 76K by Christmas.
Lastly, Cornershop by Uber experienced its highest downloads in mid-October at nearly 18K, with a decline to just under 3K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users reached a high of 67K in the same period but decreased to 43K by the close of December.
