Throughout Q4 2023, the performance of the leading food delivery apps in Germany showed diverse trends in downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower, these insights provide a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw significant fluctuations in downloads, peaking at around 70K in mid-October and then settling at approximately 42K in the final week of December. Weekly active users initially increased, reaching 1.68M in late October, before gradually declining to 1.21M by the end of the quarter.
Lieferando.de maintained a relatively stable download rate, with a notable peak of 56K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users experienced a peak of nearly 1M in early October, followed by a dip to around 818K mid-December, and then rebounded to close the quarter at 940K.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery showed a consistent download rate with minor fluctuations, peaking at 39K in early October and ending the quarter with about 27K. Weekly active users for the app varied slightly, peaking at 76K in early December and concluding the quarter at approximately 63K.
Picnic Online Supermarket exhibited a steady download trend, peaking at 35K in mid-October, and then tapering off to about 22K by the end of December. The app's active users showed an upward trend throughout the quarter, reaching a high of 212K mid-December before dropping to 174K in the last week.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more experienced a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 42K in early December. Weekly active users initially rose, peaking at 71K in early December, before experiencing a decline to approximately 53K by the end of the quarter.
