In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 food delivery service applications in Italy displayed varied performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at their download trends, weekly active users, and revenue, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more saw a notable fluctuation in downloads, starting at approximately 36K in late September and peaking at around 54K in the last week of November. Weekly active users also varied, beginning at about 648K and reaching a high of 751K in early December before declining to around 623K by the end of the quarter.
Just Eat - Food Delivery experienced relatively stable download numbers, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at about 36K in the last week of December. Weekly active users hovered around the 200K mark, ending the quarter slightly higher at approximately 195K.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained steady download numbers throughout the quarter, with a notable spike to about 41K in late November. The app’s weekly active users increased from around 485K in late September to a peak of 543K in late November, before ending the quarter at approximately 436K.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed a gradual decline in downloads, starting at about 30K in late September and dropping to around 21K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at approximately 433K and decreasing to about 321K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine experienced significant growth in downloads, especially in December, jumping from around 2K in early October to approximately 15K by the end of December. Weekly active users also saw a substantial increase, starting at about 41K in late September and reaching around 89K by the end of the quarter. Revenue for Vivino showed an upward trend, peaking at approximately $793 in the last week of December.
