In Q4 2023, the performance of the top food delivery apps in Mexico presented an intriguing mix of trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here, we break down the performance of the leading apps in this category.
Rappi: Market and Food Online saw its revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately $9K in the week of November 27. Downloads showed a notable increase towards the end of the quarter, rising from around 97K in late September to 118K by December 25. Weekly active users exhibited some variability, starting at 1.6M in late September and ending at approximately 1.5M by the end of December.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a steady climb in downloads, starting at 73K in late September and reaching over 101K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users also showed a dynamic pattern, peaking at over 1M in early December before declining to approximately 824K by the end of the quarter.
Cornershop by Uber: Groceries had a decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 6.3K in late September to just 1.3K by December 25. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at around 29K and dropping to approximately 20K by the end of December.
Uber Eats Orders saw a modest decline in downloads, from 3.1K in late September to around 1.6K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 23K mark throughout the quarter.
DoorDash - Food Delivery experienced a slight decline in downloads during Q4 2023, starting at approximately 1.8K in late September and ending at around 1.4K by December 25. Weekly active users showed consistent performance, maintaining a level close to 27K throughout the quarter.
