As the year 2023 came to a close, the Australian insurance app market saw different trends across the top players on the unified platform. Sensor Tower has compiled the performance data for these apps, which offers a glimpse into user engagement and download metrics.
My NRMA experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, with a peak of approximately 8K in the first week of October, followed by a general decline and then a slight rebound to 6K in early December. The weekly active users started at roughly 11K, peaked at around 14K in the first week of October, and ended the quarter with about 11K.
AAMI App, on the other hand, saw a spike in downloads to over 9K in mid-October, but generally maintained a range between 4K and 5K downloads throughout the quarter. Active user data for AAMI App was not available.
NRMA Insurance showed a relatively stable pattern in downloads, mostly hovering around the 2K mark, with a notable jump to over 5K in the first week of December. The app's weekly active users' data was not provided.
ahm health insurance maintained a consistent download rate, with figures staying around the 2K region for most of the quarter, although it dipped to just over 1K in the last week of December. There was no data available on weekly active users for this app as well.
Lastly, Youi saw downloads ranging between 1K and 1.7K throughout the quarter, with a slight increase towards the middle of December. Similar to ahm health insurance and AAMI App, the weekly active users' figures for Youi were not released.
