During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top music and podcasts apps in the Dominican Republic demonstrated diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of YouTube Music, Spotify - Music and Podcasts, TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports, eSound - MP3 Music Player App, and TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound.
YouTube Music saw a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at approximately $11.6K in the week of November 27 and ending the quarter with around $10.1K in the final week of December. Downloads peaked at 12.2K in the week of October 23, while weekly active users hovered around 480K, with a slight peak at 521K in late November.
Spotify - Music and Podcasts experienced steady revenue growth, starting from $895 in late September and reaching $1.5K by the end of December. The app's downloads ranged between 15K to 21K, with a peak of 21K in early October. Weekly active users showed a downward trend, from 868K in late September to approximately 779K in the last week of December.
TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports maintained consistent revenue around $400-$500, peaking at $565 in late November. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 230-250 per week, with a minor peak of 279 in the last week of December. Weekly active users hovered around 3K, ending the quarter slightly above 3.1K.
eSound - MP3 Music Player App saw variable revenue with a peak of $477 in late November. Downloads increased steadily from 2K in late October to around 3.9K in mid-December. Weekly active users remained fairly stable, around 70K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Finally, TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound had modest revenue, peaking at $355 in early October and ending the quarter at $201. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 191 in late September. Weekly active users showed a declining trend, dropping from 13.8K in late September to 11.2K by the end of December.
