In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five paid games in the Netherlands, according to Sensor Tower data, demonstrated interesting trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Geometry Dash Lite from RobTop Games AB saw its revenue peak impressively at approximately $1.5K in the final week of December, following a steady but lower performance in the preceding weeks. Downloads for the game fluctuated, starting at around 9K in late September and peaking at nearly 10.5K in the last week of December. Weekly active users showed a significant rise from around 80K in late September to over 88K in late October, followed by a dip and then another rise to approximately 84K by the end of December.
Pou from Zakeh Limited maintained a relatively stable revenue throughout the quarter, with a slight increase toward the end, peaking at $302 in the last week of December. Downloads showed modest growth, starting at around 1.2K and reaching nearly 2K in the final week. Weekly active users remained fairly consistent, averaging around 68K throughout the quarter.
Cut the Rope by ZeptoLab UK Limited experienced a steady revenue trend with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter with $105 in the last week of December. Downloads for the game increased from around 970 in late September to over 2K by the end of December. Weekly active users started at around 3.2K and peaked at approximately 4.5K in the same period.
Red Ball 4 (Ad Supported) from FDG Entertainment GmbH & Co.KG had a relatively low revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at $36 in mid-November. Downloads showed a gradual increase, starting at around 946 and reaching nearly 2K by the end of December. Weekly active users also rose steadily from about 13.6K in late September to over 17.5K in the final week of December.
Minecraft by Mojang led the pack in terms of revenue, reaching nearly $18K in the last week of December. Downloads saw a significant spike in late November, going from around 292 in late September to over 3K in early December, before stabilizing at around 2.5K by the end of December. Weekly active users remained strong, starting at around 95.7K and peaking at over 111K in the final week of December.
