In Q4 2023, the top 5 shopping apps in Uruguay showed varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online saw a notable increase in downloads, starting at around 6.8K in early October and peaking at 10.8K in mid-December. Weekly active users also exhibited a positive trend, rising from approximately 339K in late September to around 368K by mid-December, although there was a slight drop towards the end of the quarter.

SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning at 3.1K in late September and decreasing to 2.0K by mid-December, before slightly increasing to 2.3K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, from about 45K in late September to nearly 49K by the end of December.

Google Home had a relatively stable number of downloads throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations. Downloads ranged from around 1.9K to 2.7K. Weekly active users remained consistent, hovering around 17.8K to 19.4K over the same period.

The AliExpress Shopping App showed a decrease in downloads, starting at roughly 2.0K in late September and dropping to about 1.2K by mid-December, with a slight rebound to 1.5K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a minor decline from around 54.5K in late September to approximately 51.9K at the end of December.

Amazon Shopping maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 1.1K in early October, with slight dips and peaks, ending at 1.1K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed a slight upward trend, increasing from about 65.7K in late September to around 65.2K by the end of the quarter. Additionally, Amazon Shopping generated steady revenue, peaking at $30 in late September and mid-November.
