In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 air travel apps on the Android platform in Malta showcased varying trends in weekly downloads and revenue, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Ryanair experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 373 in the first week of January and dropping to 400 by the end of March. Despite this downward trend, there was a slight resurgence in the last week of the quarter.
Turkish Airlines Flight Ticket maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 88 and 109, with a slight peak of 105 downloads in mid-March.
Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save also saw stable download numbers, ranging from 85 to 129 during the quarter. The app's weekly downloads saw minor fluctuations but remained consistent overall.
Flightradar24 Flight Tracker presented a more dynamic trend. Weekly downloads started at 125, dipped to 72 in mid-March, and then climbed back up to 114 by the end of March. Revenue for the app showed a slight upward trend, peaking at $133 in the first week of January and stabilizing around $77 by the end of the quarter.
Emirates had the lowest download numbers among the top 5, starting at 56 and ending at 40 weekly downloads. Despite this, the app's downloads peaked at 81 in the third week of January before gradually declining.
