In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 casual games on the Android platform in the United Kingdom—Coin Master, MONOPOLY GO!, Candy Crush Saga, Royal Match, and Gardenscapes—showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Coin Master from Moon Active witnessed a steady weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.3M in late January. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting from 13.2K in early January and dropping to around 5.4K by early March. Active users fluctuated, starting at 116.9K in the first week of January and eventually settling at around 114K by the end of March.
MONOPOLY GO! by Scopely experienced a significant spike in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $1.3M in mid-February. Downloads saw a general decline from 76.3K in early January to 25.3K by the end of March. Active user numbers also showed a downward trend, starting at 139.1K and ending at 104.7K in the last week of March.
For Candy Crush Saga by King, weekly revenue remained relatively stable with minor fluctuations, peaking at about $481K in late January. Downloads decreased from 15.8K in early January to around 13.6K by the end of March. The game maintained a high number of active users, averaging around 240K throughout the quarter.
Royal Match from Dream Games, Ltd. showed a consistent weekly revenue, with figures hovering around $340K for most of the quarter. Downloads peaked at 34.3K in mid-January but dropped to 13.6K by the end of March. Active users remained robust, starting at 462.4K in early January and ending at 477.9K in the last week of March.
Gardenscapes by Playrix saw a stable weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $237.9K in late January. Downloads saw a significant decline from 10.2K in early January to 5.4K by the end of March. Active users varied, starting at 150.8K in early January and ending at 122.5K by the last week of March.
