In the first quarter of 2024, the city building game category has seen varying performances on the Android platform in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower's analysis provides a glimpse into the trends of the top five games in this genre.
Isekai:Slow Life by Mars-Games, had fluctuating weekly revenues, peaking at $29K in the last week of March. Downloads saw a significant jump in mid-February, reaching 4K, while weekly active users consistently grew, ending at 13K.
For Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle from 37GAMES, revenues increased over the quarter, culminating at $25K. The game experienced a decline in downloads, dipping to 1K in late February, but weekly active users picked up in March, finishing at around 6K.
ELECTRONIC ARTS' SimCity BuildIt showed a revenue range between $16K to $21K during the quarter. Downloads peaked at 3K in mid-February, while weekly active users saw their highest at 38K, although there was a noticeable drop to 28K by the end of March.
Microfun Limited's Merge County had a modest revenue performance, hovering around $8K. After a download hiatus in January, it peaked at 962 in mid-March. Weekly active users showed a slight increase, ending at 1.7K.
Lastly, The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, also by ELECTRONIC ARTS, saw its revenue grow towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly $10K. Downloads remained steady, around 1K each week, and weekly active users maintained a stable presence in the 23K range.
