During the first quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Mexico showed varied performance metrics. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for the top 5 apps: Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out, Cafe - Live video chat, Telegram, Threema. The Secure Messenger, and Azar: Video Chat & Meet People.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $12.9K in mid-January and ending the quarter at around $10.3K. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend initially but rebounded to 65.4K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 1.44M and ending at 1.42M.
Cafe - Live video chat saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching about $9.6K by the end of March. Downloads decreased over the quarter, from 11.4K in early January to 6.4K in the last week of March. Active users also declined, from 16K at the start to 10.7K by the end of the quarter.
Telegram had a significant revenue spike in late February, reaching $11.9K, with a consistent weekly download rate around 198K towards the end of the quarter. Active users were stable, fluctuating slightly but maintaining around 2.38M.
Threema. The Secure Messenger showed a consistent revenue trend, peaking at $5.4K in mid-March. Weekly downloads remained low but steady, around 500-1.4K. Active users hovered around 30K throughout the quarter.
Azar: Video Chat & Meet People had relatively stable weekly revenue, with a peak of $2.9K in the last week of March. Downloads decreased significantly from 4.8K in early January to 1.7K by the end of March. Active users also declined, from 18.5K at the start to 12.1K in the last week of the quarter.
