During the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 convenience store apps on the Android platform in Central America showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared:
mi OXXO from Cadena Comercial OXXO S.A. de C.V. started strong with weekly downloads peaking at 61.4K in the week of January 22. However, downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, reaching 33.5K in the last week of March. The app maintained a relatively high number of active users, starting at 189.7K in the first week of January and ending at 134.7K in the last week of March.
Sevenly: 7-Eleven + PetroSeven by ICONN MEXICO had a more modest performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 1.7K and 4.2K. Downloads peaked in mid-January and then stabilized around 2.5K towards the end of the quarter.
Dollar General from DOLLAR GENERAL CORPORATION experienced steady growth in weekly downloads, starting at 267 in the first week of January and peaking at 1.8K in the last week of March. The app also saw an increase in active users, growing from 4.2K to 10.7K throughout the quarter.
7-Eleven México showed consistent but low weekly downloads, ranging from 461 to 832. The active user count decreased gradually from 2.6K at the beginning of January to 1.8K at the end of March.
The 99 Store by 99 Cents Only Stores had the lowest download numbers among the top 5, peaking at 393 in the second week of January and ending at 383 in the last week of March. The active user count, however, showed a positive trend, increasing from 420 to 807 during the same period.
