In the first quarter of 2024, Brazil's Android users showed their preference for connecting through dating apps, with several leading the way in downloads and user engagement. Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the trends of these top apps.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date saw a fluctuation in its performance with downloads starting at around 100K in the first week, dipping to 79K, and then peaking at 102K mid-quarter. Revenue trends remained consistent, averaging around $190K weekly, with active users starting strong at 3.7M but seeing a slight decrease to 3.5M by the end of March.
Grindr - Gay chat maintained a steady pace in revenue, with a slight peak of $49K in the third week of January, and downloads ranged between 15K and 17K. Weekly active users for Grindr showed a small decline from 878K to 828K over the quarter.
Inner Circle: Dating Community experienced a surge in revenue in mid-January at nearly $50K, with a general downward trend to $36K by the end of March. Downloads saw a high of 37K in the second week of January, but this decreased to around 16K towards the quarter's close. Active users peaked at 125K in the last week, indicating a growing community despite fewer downloads.
Badoo Dating App: Meet & Date showed a strong start with over 100K downloads in the first week, maintaining high engagement throughout the quarter with downloads hovering around 96K. Weekly revenue trends saw a high of $52K in January, tapering to $34K by March, while active users remained above 3.6M.
happn: Dating, Chat & Meet had its highest revenue at $44K in the third week of January and downloads peaked at 43K in mid-February. Active users showed a slight decrease from 798K at the start of the year to 697K by the quarter's end.
