As we delve into the first quarter of 2024, the French dating app market on Android has shown varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users of the top five dating applications in France.
Starting with Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date, the app experienced a steady revenue trend, grossing around $166K to $189K weekly, peaking at $237K in mid-January. Downloads saw a slight decline from 17K in the first week to around 13K by the quarter's end, while weekly active users dipped from 859K to approximately 787K.
Meetic - Amour et Rencontre, without any reported revenue, kicked off the quarter with a strong 20K downloads but saw a decrease to just below 12K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 553K, fluctuating mid-quarter, and slightly rising to 521K.
happn: Dating, Chat & Meet generated weekly revenue ranging from $53K to $67K. Downloads for happn fluctuated, with a peak of 14K in late January and settling at around 13K. Active users began at 370K, peaked at 383K, and ended the quarter at approximately 330K.
The Badoo Dating App: Meet & Date saw revenue between $52K and $69K per week. Downloads started at 12K, reaching a high of 13K, and dropped to 10K by March's close. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, with a peak of 556K in early February and a drop to 513K by quarter's end.
Lastly, Fruitz - Dating app had weekly revenue in the range of $54K to $74K. Downloads began at 18K, with a decrease to 8K, and active users started strong at 358K but fell to 283K.
