In the first quarter of 2024, the UK's leading fitness and weight loss applications on Android have shown varying performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a brief overview of how each app fared during this period.
Fitness started the quarter with revenues peaking at $90K in mid-January but saw a gradual decline to $66K by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, starting at 13K and dropping to 6K. Weekly active users also decreased from 592K to 553K.
Calorie Counter + witnessed its highest revenue in the first week of January at $99K, which then fluctuated and settled around $63K towards the end of March. Downloads saw a peak of 14K in the first week of January, but gradually decreased to 7K. Active users dipped from 66K to 52K.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a revenue increase from $60K in the first week of January to $79K in the last week of March. The app's downloads peaked at 12K in the first week, had a slight increase in late February, and rose to 11K by the end of March. Active users started at 450K and saw a slight increase to 418K by the end of the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter showed a revenue peak at $61K in early February, but generally hovered around the mid-$40K range for the rest of the quarter. Downloads began at 13K, saw a mid-quarter drop, and ended at 7K. Weekly active users started at 158K and declined to 128K.
OS Maps: Explore hiking trails saw revenue growth from $31K in the first week of January to $47K by the end of March. Downloads had a significant jump from 4K to 19K in mid-March, likely influenced by seasonal outdoor activity interests. Active users showed an upward trend from 20K to 28K.
