Europe's Top 5 Food and Diet Tracking Android Apps in Q1 2024: Downloads, Revenue, and User Trends
In the first quarter of 2024, food and diet tracking applications continued to help users across Europe monitor their nutritional intake and maintain healthy lifestyles. Here we delve into the performance of the top five Android apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter kicked off the quarter with strong revenues peaking at nearly $480K in the first week, before observing a downward trend to around $228K by the end of March. Downloads started at 161K but saw a decline to 67K, while weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 1.9M and closing the quarter at 1.8M.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter showed a revenue pattern with an initial drop from $116K to $80K, followed by a spike to $145K, and then a gentle decrease to $109K. Downloads for the app remained relatively stable, hovering around 40K to 50K, with active users starting at 735K and ending at 644K.
Nutracheck’s Calorie Counter + saw revenues ranging from approximately $95K to $67K. Its downloads began at 17K, dipped in January, but then slightly recovered to 11K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users experienced an overall decrease from 78K to 63K.
Lifesum Food Tracker & Fasting experienced a revenue decrease from $79K to $40K throughout Q1. Downloads saw a significant increase in late February, reaching 43K, but ended the quarter at 16K. The app's active users started strong at 573K but dropped to 519K.
WeightWatchers Program had a slight increase in revenue from $26K to $33K in mid-quarter, before stabilizing around $32K. Downloads decreased from 22K to just under 6K, with active users showing a dip from 92K to 67K by the end of March.
