In the first quarter of 2024, Brazil's food delivery service apps on the Android platform have shown varied trends in downloads and weekly active users. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look into how these apps are performing in the Brazilian market.
iFood comida e mercado em casa remained a strong contender with downloads starting at 230K in the first week of January and peaking at 257K in mid-February before settling to around 208K by the end of March. Weekly active users for iFood showed a healthy trend, kicking off the quarter with 8.67M users and reaching a high of 9.49M in mid-February, eventually closing the quarter with 9.31M active users.
The companion app for couriers, iFood para Entregadores, experienced a spike in downloads in mid-January with approximately 69K downloads, followed by a steadier pattern around 49K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, reaching a peak of 269K in late February and then slightly decreasing to around 247K by the end of the quarter.
Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery saw its downloads begin at 11K and dip to a low of 6.3K in mid-March, with a slight recovery to 7.8K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users started at 450K and saw a rise to 492K in the last week of March, indicating a growing user base despite the fluctuations in downloads.
Uber Eats Orders, while having lower download numbers starting at 6.3K and ending at 4.8K, showed a consistent increase in active users from 19.5K to 23.5K throughout the quarter, suggesting a more engaged user base.
Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine maintained a steady performance with downloads hovering around 1.5K at the beginning and ending the quarter slightly higher at 1.6K. Revenue for Vivino was consistent, ranging from $347 to $427 weekly, and active users saw a slight decrease from 29K to 25.6K over the quarter.
