Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 MMORPG applications on Android in Africa demonstrated varying performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.
Black Desert Mobile from PEARL ABYSS saw a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $8.4K in the first week of January and dropping to around $339 by the end of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 299 in the week of January 22, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 3.1K throughout the quarter.
Diablo Immortal from Blizzard Entertainment experienced significant growth in weekly revenue, starting from roughly $4.4K in early January and skyrocketing to approximately $14.2K by the end of March. Weekly downloads saw a notable increase, especially in the last week of March, reaching 488. Weekly active users varied, peaking at 2.4K in early February and ending the quarter with 2.2K.
MIR4 by Wemade Co., Ltd had a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at $3.2K in the first week of January, peaking at $13.3K in the second week, and then declining with occasional spikes, settling at around $218 by the end of March. The app’s weekly downloads were inconsistent, with significant drops and occasional small upticks. Weekly active users decreased gradually from 552 to 466 over the quarter.
Dragon Raja from Archosaur Games showed a positive revenue trend, starting at $1.1K in early January and peaking at $5.8K in late February, finishing the quarter at approximately $3.2K. Weekly downloads were minimal initially but increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 116 in the final week of March. Weekly active users remained relatively low, averaging around 280, with a slight peak at 331 in the last week of March.
MapleStory M - Fantasy MMORPG by NEXON Company had a volatile revenue trend, starting at $46 in early January, peaking at $10.2K in early February, and dropping significantly towards the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads were low, with minimal activity throughout the quarter. The app did not record any weekly active users data.
