In Q1 2024, the performance of the top 5 News and Magazines apps on Android in Denmark showed varied trends in downloads and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.
DR Nyheder from DR Digital maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at 961 in early January and gradually decreased to 444 by the end of March. Despite the decline, the app saw a few peaks, such as 725 downloads in the week of February 26.
Pling: Læs magasiner & blade from Aller Media AB experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning at 568 in the first week of January and dropping significantly to 169 by the end of March. The app's weekly revenue also showed variability, peaking at $99 in the week of February 26, with a low of $46 in mid-February.
TV 2 Nyheder from TV 2 Danmark A/S had a steady download trend, starting with 633 downloads in the first week of January and ending with 445 in the last week of March. The app's weekly downloads saw a notable dip in late January but recovered towards the end of the quarter.
TV SYD PLAY from TV SYD had a varied download performance, with a high of 628 downloads in the week of February 5 and a low of 112 in the week of February 26. The download numbers showed fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at 135 in the last week of March.
Finally, B.T. from Berlingske Media A/S started with 195 downloads in early January and saw an increase to 353 by the end of March. The app's download trend generally remained stable, with a slight dip in mid-March before the final rise.
