The first quarter of 2024 saw intriguing trends among the top 5 parenting apps on the Android platform in Australia. Below is a detailed analysis of their performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Be Closer: Family location experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $4.1K in early February. Weekly downloads, however, showed a significant decline, starting at 1.9K in early January and dropping to just over 100 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 2.2K to under 200 over the quarter.
Huckleberry: Baby & Child saw consistent weekly revenue, with a peak of around $1.9K in mid-March. Downloads remained stable, ranging from 400 to 850 weekly. Active users exhibited a steady increase, reaching nearly 13K by mid-March before settling at around 12.4K by the end of the quarter.
Find my kids: live GPS tracker showed a varied performance, with weekly revenue peaking at $2K in early February and then stabilizing around $1K. Downloads saw a sharp drop from 1.6K in early January to just over 300 by mid-March, while active users also declined from 7.5K to around 4.7K before rebounding to 6.8K by the end of March.
Qustodio Parental Control App maintained a steady weekly revenue, peaking at $1.4K in late January. Downloads fluctuated between 190 and 380 weekly, with active users gradually increasing from 710 to 866 by the end of March.
Finally, Solid Starts showed consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $700. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 360 to 820 weekly. Active users increased steadily, starting at 13.6K in early January and peaking at 13.8K by mid-March before slightly declining to 12.7K by the end of the quarter.
