In the first quarter of 2024, the Puzzle RPG category on Android has seen varied performance across its top titles in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower offers us a glimpse into how these games have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
37GAMES' Puzzles & Survival started the year with revenues around $547K, peaking in mid-March at $767K. Downloads began at 37K and saw a decline to 21K by the end of the quarter, while weekly active users dropped from 92K to 78K.
World of Water, by StarFortune, launched late in January and generated revenue starting at $7K, growing to $24K by the end of February. Downloads hit a high of 74K in its launch week, but cooled to 20K by late March. Active users saw a sharp decrease from 71K to around 71K over the same period.
Another title from 37GAMES, Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle, showed consistent revenue growth from $183K to $270K. Downloads and weekly active users experienced fluctuations, with downloads starting at over 21K, dipping mid-quarter, and stabilizing around 17K, while active users increased from 59K to 74K.
Zynga's Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG maintained strong revenue figures, starting at $552K and ending the quarter at $548K. Downloads showed a gradual increase from 10K to a peak of 17K, before declining to 9.7K, while active users ranged from 143K to 172K.
Lastly, Seriously Digital Entertainment Oy.'s Best Fiends - Match 3 Puzzles saw revenues starting at $364K, with minor fluctuations, and closing the quarter at $310K. Downloads were modest, with an initial 10.2K, peaking at 14K, and ending at 11.6K. Active users began at 201K, peaked at 270K, and concluded the quarter at 234K.
