In the first quarter of 2024, the self-therapy and journaling app category has seen varied performance across top apps on the Android platform in Europe. Data from Sensor Tower offers a clear perspective on how these apps are faring in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Me+ Daily Routine Planner started the quarter with revenues around $73K, but experienced a downward trend, closing at nearly $10K by the end of March. Downloads peaked at over 200K in the first week of January but followed a declining trajectory to reach just over 22K. Weekly active users showed a slight recovery in March, ending with 163K after a dip earlier in the quarter.
The Fabulous Daily Routine Planner had a fluctuating revenue pattern, beginning the quarter with $13K and having a peak at $18K before settling at around $6K. Downloads saw a gradual decrease from 27K to 4K, and the active users mirrored this trend, dropping from 155K to 76K.
Mindvalley: Self-Improvement showed a more stable revenue, starting at about $8K and ending the quarter at $7K. Downloads were modest, with a high of 1.8K in the first week of January and stabilizing around 300-600 in the following weeks. Weekly active users for the app were low, hovering around 2K to 3K throughout the quarter.
Daylio Journal - Mood Tracker exhibited a revenue range between $5K and $12K, and downloads that started at 17K and fluctuated to about 5.7K by the end of March. Its weekly active users count remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 488K to 486K, indicating steady engagement.
Lastly, Breeze: mental health saw revenues that hovered between $5K and $6K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 12.5K, with a noticeable drop to 4.3K by March's end. Weekly active users showed a significant increase in February, reaching 35K, but then declined to 25K.
