In the first quarter of 2024, the leading shopping apps on Android in Brazil showed diverse trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps, according to Sensor Tower data.
Shopee: 9.9 Super Shopping Day saw a strong performance in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 784K in mid-January and maintaining a steady rate around 500K to 700K for most of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, ending the quarter at around 24.3M.
Mercado Libre: Compras online experienced a consistent download trend, starting the quarter with about 460K and finishing at around 340K. The app's active user base also showed stability, hovering between 16.5M and 17.7M throughout the quarter.
SHEIN-Shopping Online demonstrated a positive trend in downloads, particularly strong in early March with over 527K. Active users saw a slight decline from 12.8M in early January to 11.5M by the end of March.
Amazon Shopping reported notable weekly revenue, peaking at around $58K in early January and maintaining figures between $45K and $57K throughout the quarter. Downloads spiked dramatically in early March, reaching over 909K, while active users showed a modest increase, ending the quarter at approximately 4.4M.
Magalu: loja e compras online had a varied download trend, starting with over 1.1M in early January and settling around 174K by the end of March. Active users saw a decline from approximately 6.9M to 4.2M over the quarter.
