The first quarter of 2024 has been eventful for tycoon games on the Android platform in Europe. Sensor Tower has provided a detailed look into how top apps in this category have fared.
Starting with Township by Playrix, the game showed a peak revenue of nearly $916K in mid-January, with a general downward trend settling at around $827K by the end of March. Downloads for the game started strong at 168K in the first week of January but saw a gradual decrease to around 128K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users began at 1.97M, dipping to 1.9M, and then slightly rebounding to 1.92M.
Melsoft Games Ltd's Family Island™ — Farming game experienced a decrease in weekly revenue from $537K in the first week of January to around $466K by the end of March. Downloads followed a decline from 54K to 41K, while active users tapered off from 169K to 142K.
Supercell's Hay Day showed fluctuations in revenue, with a high of $556K in early February, but ended the quarter slightly lower at $381K. Downloads remained fairly stable, with a notable spike to 127K in mid-March. Active users showed an upward trend, starting at 2.14M and reaching nearly 2.48M by March 25.
For Klondike Adventures: Farm Game by VIZOR APPS LTD., revenue hovered around the $400K mark throughout the quarter, with a slight dip in mid-March. Downloads showed a significant drop from 223K to 56K. Active users started at 560K and saw a gradual decrease to 460K.
Lastly, Dragonscapes Adventure from Century Games PTE. LTD. maintained a steady revenue around $180K, with a peak at $215K in late January. Downloads saw a decline from nearly 25K to 12K, while active users decreased from 201K to 158K.
