The first quarter of 2024 showcased some interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 casual games on iOS in Europe. Here's a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for these popular titles.
Royal Match from Dream Games maintained a strong presence with its weekly revenue peaking around $2.8M in early February. Weekly downloads, however, saw a decline from 345K in early January to approximately 160K by the end of March. Despite this, the game managed to keep a consistent number of active users, hovering around 3.7M throughout the quarter.
MONOPOLY GO! by Scopely, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, reaching a high of roughly $3.2M in early January and ending the quarter at around $2.3M. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend from 443K to 166K. Active users also saw a decrease from 1.25M to just under 800K over the same period.
Subway Surfers from Sybo Games ApS had a relatively stable performance. Weekly revenue remained modest, peaking at around $18K in mid-February. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly but stayed within the range of 200K to 260K. The game maintained a robust active user base, growing from 4.7M to over 5M by the end of March.
Township by Playrix saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at approximately $843K in mid-January and ending at $726K in late March. Weekly downloads varied, starting at 166K and hitting a low of 107K before recovering to around 196K. Active users showed a steady increase from around 572K to 635K throughout the quarter.
Finally, Words of Wonders: Crossword by Fugo had a relatively stable revenue with minor peaks, reaching up to $33K in early February. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 193K at the beginning of January to approximately 133K by the end of March. Active users decreased from 1.68M to around 1.48M over the quarter.
