Predictions for the Digital Economy in 2026 Report is Live!

In the first quarter of 2024, the UK's iOS platform saw varying performances among the top consumer finance apps. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a closer look at the trends in downloads and weekly active users for these leading applications.
Monzo - Mobile Banking maintained a strong presence with downloads fluctuating between 35K and 44K, peaking in late January. Weekly active users stayed above 1.5M, suggesting a consistent user base.
Lloyds Bank Mobile Banking experienced downloads in the range of 20K to 23K, with a slight increase in active users towards the end of the quarter, reaching upwards of 1.2M.
NatWest Mobile Banking showed a more notable increase in downloads, particularly in late February, jumping from around 18K to over 27K. Their active users saw a gradual rise, with numbers climbing back to around 1.4M after a dip earlier in the quarter.
Barclays UK, despite being published by Barclays Services Limited based in South Africa, had its active user count begin at nearly 2M, with a slight decline to just over 1.8M by the end of March. Downloads varied, with a mid-quarter dip followed by a rebound to approximately 23K.
Finally, Halifax Mobile Banking showed the smallest numbers in downloads, ranging from 16K to 20K. Weekly active users dipped below 750K but remained relatively stable throughout the quarter.
