In the first quarter of 2024, the dating app scene on iOS platforms across Europe saw varied engagement and download numbers. Here's a snapshot of how the top five contenders performed, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends maintained its position as a leading dating application with revenues fluctuating around $4M to $4.5M weekly. The downloads showed a slight downtrend from 156K to 121K, while weekly active users decreased from 4.09M to 3.79M.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative experienced modest revenues, peaking at $77K and dipping as low as $67K. Its downloads saw a drop from 143K to 111K, and active users had a slight uptick from 479K to 516K.
The Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date showed consistent revenue generation, with most weeks hovering around $1.1M. Downloads began at 100K and fell to 75K by the end of the quarter, while weekly active users ranged from 1.01M to around 980K.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet saw revenues between $470K and $536K. Its downloads saw a gradual decline from 81K to 61K, but weekly active users increased from 725K to 823K, suggesting a growing, engaged user base.
Lastly, Azar - Video Chat generated revenues in the $500K to $640K range. Downloads began at 70K and saw a minor decrease to 56K, with weekly active users showing a slight decline from 440K to 407K.
