State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2024, we've observed interesting trends among the top food and diet tracking applications on the iOS platform in the United States. Here's a breakdown of their performance, with insights from Sensor Tower.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner showed a steady revenue with peaks reaching approximately $93K, while downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 156K. Weekly active users increased over the quarter, starting at approximately 482K and ending at around 594K.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter demonstrated a strong revenue trend, with the highest revenue recorded at roughly $2.7M. Downloads reached a high of about 155K, but trended downwards towards 83K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users started at around 3.1M, saw a peak at 3.2M, but closed the quarter with a slight decrease to approximately 2.8M.
Lose It! – Calorie Counter experienced revenue fluctuations, with the highest point at just over $1M. Downloads showed a slight downtrend, starting at about 51K and ending at roughly 37K. Weekly active users saw a decline from around 1.2M to 986K.
VeSync, with no revenue reported, had downloads beginning at approximately 43K and trending downwards to about 28K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at around 360K and ending the quarter close to 350K.
Lastly, BMI Calculator – Weight Loss also reported no revenue. The app saw a significant spike in downloads in mid-March, reaching nearly 123K, contrasting with the modest 10K at the start of the quarter. Active users reflected this surge, growing from around 22K to 112K.
