During the first quarter of 2024, the top free-to-play games on iOS in the United States showcased diverse performance metrics. Data from Sensor Tower reveals intriguing trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for the leading games.
MONOPOLY GO! by Scopely, Inc. saw a fluctuating yet overall positive revenue trend. Starting with about $19.2M in the first week of January, it peaked at approximately $29.7M in the first week of March. Downloads, however, displayed a downward trend from 664K in early January to 262K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from 1.8M to 1.1M over the quarter.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation maintained a steady weekly revenue, generally hovering around $9M to $10M throughout the quarter, peaking at $10.5M in the first week of March. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 418K and ending at 320K. Active users showed slight variability but stayed strong, ending the quarter at 13.8M.
Royal Match by Dream Games experienced consistent weekly revenue, starting at $9.2M and peaking at $10M in early March. Downloads declined steadily from 390K in the first week of January to 139K by the end of March. Active users remained stable, fluctuating slightly but ending the quarter with around 820K users.
Candy Crush Saga from King also showed a stable revenue trend, starting at $6.6M and ending at $7M. Weekly downloads varied slightly, starting at 163K and ending at 133K. Active users remained relatively consistent, ending the quarter with approximately 1.2M users.
Whiteout Survival by Century Games Pte. Ltd. had a notable revenue increase, starting at $3.4M and peaking at $4.2M in the final week of March. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained consistent, starting at 139K and ending at 109K. Active users showed an upward trend, growing from 685K in early January to 785K by the end of March.
