The first quarter of 2024 highlighted interesting trends for the top hypercasual games on the iOS platform in Australia. Here’s an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Throughout Q1 2024, weekly revenue for Cash Masters: Billionaire Life saw a downward trend from $2.4K to $760 by the end of March. Weekly downloads also declined from 3K in early January to just under 1K in late March. Active users fluctuated, peaking at over 7.4K in mid-March before settling at around 6.7K by the end of the quarter.
Merge the Jelly experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads from 4.4K at the start of January to zero by the last week of March. Despite this, the game’s weekly revenue peaked at $2.2K in early February before declining to $562 by the end of March. Active users showed a decreasing trend, from nearly 11.9K in early January to around 5.2K in late March.
Piano - Play Keyboards & Music maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue, hovering around $1K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a peak of 5.4K in late January but dropped to about 1.4K by the end of March. The game’s active users also saw a gradual decline from 11K in early January to approximately 9.3K by the end of the quarter.
Flow Free showed consistent weekly download numbers, starting at 3.7K and ending at 2.2K. Revenue remained steady, averaging around $700 weekly. The game boasted the highest number of active users among the top five, starting at 159K and slightly decreasing to about 118K by the end of March.
Word Search Explorer: Fun Game displayed stable weekly revenue around $600-$800. Weekly downloads peaked at nearly 5K in late January before tapering off to around 2.9K by the end of March. The game’s active users increased from 11.3K in early January to 13.3K by the end of the quarter.
