Latin America's mobile gaming landscape saw interesting trends in the Match 3 category during the first quarter of 2024. Here's a look at how the top five games on iOS performed, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
Royal Match from Dream Games maintained a steady revenue increase over the quarter, peaking at $316K in the third week of March. Downloads showed a declining trend, starting at 140K in the first week of January and dropping to 72K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 669K but saw a slight decline to 687K over the quarter.
King's Candy Crush Saga continued to be a strong performer in terms of revenue, with its highest at $484K in the last week of March. Downloads for the game decreased from 98K to 78K, while active users fluctuated, ending slightly lower at 518K compared to the 538K at the start of the quarter.
Fishdom by Playrix saw its revenue hover around $90K to $105K. Downloads experienced a downward trend, with initial figures of 75K reducing to 26K by March's end. Weekly active users also decreased from 180K to 131K throughout the quarter.
Magic Tavern's Project Makeover showed varied revenue, ranging from $34K to $37K. The game's downloads saw a significant spike in the third week of March, reaching 82K from an initial 49K. The weekly active users started at 215K and peaked at 203K in the same week as the download spike, ending the quarter at 186K.
Finally, Playrix's Gardenscapes displayed consistent revenue, with a slight peak of $142K in the last week of March. The game's downloads began at 42K, saw a mid-quarter increase, and then settled at 21K. Active users saw a small decline from 267K to 242K over the course of the quarter.
