In the first quarter of 2024, the music and podcasts category on iOS has seen varying performance across top applications in the United States. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Pandora: Music & Podcasts sustained its popularity with consistent revenue, peaking at around $3.4M in early February. Downloads saw a slight decline from 74K in the first week of January to around 66K by the end of March. Weekly active users fluctuated, with an early peak of 9.5M in late January and a similar peak in mid-March.

YouTube Music showed a steady revenue trend, starting at approximately $2.5M in the first week of January and dipping to $2.2M by the end of March. Downloads remained strong, with a peak at 158K in mid-January. Weekly active users were robust, maintaining above 13.8M throughout the quarter.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts also experienced a stable revenue flow, with a notable rise to nearly $1.9M in late February. The app's downloads started at 109K in January, with a drop to around 81K by March. TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound maintained a more modest revenue profile, peaking at $684K in late February. Downloads had a significant spike to 35K in early February, which was an outlier compared to the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users hovered around 570K, with minor fluctuations throughout the period.
