State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
Throughout the first quarter of 2024, several music and podcast apps dominated the iOS platform in Mexico. The top five apps, including Spotify - Music and Podcasts, TREBEL Music - Download Songs, YouTube Music, Shazam: Find Music & Concerts, and Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts, showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
Spotify - Music and Podcasts experienced consistent weekly revenues, peaking at $21 in the first week of January and maintaining an average of around $16 throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a high of approximately 119.5K at the start of January, gradually declining to about 74.8K by the end of March. Active users remained stable, starting at 2.97M and ending the quarter with around 2.99M.
TREBEL Music - Download Songs showed a positive trend in weekly revenue, starting at $160 and peaking at $241 by mid-February. Weekly downloads were steady, starting at around 33.3K and ending the quarter at 28.9K. Active user numbers increased from 397K at the start of January to 432.9K by the end of March.
YouTube Music had the highest weekly revenue among the top apps, peaking at $49K in late February. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 23.4K to 29.2K. Active users saw a slight increase, starting at approximately 1.36M and ending the quarter at 1.40M.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained a steady rate of weekly downloads, starting at 20.4K and ending at 17.3K. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning the quarter with 1.65M and increasing to 1.72M by the end of March.
Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts saw varied weekly revenues, peaking at $22 in mid-January and experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at 18.8K, dipping to 11.3K in early March, before stabilizing at 13.3K by the quarter's end. Active users saw a slight decline from 91.6K in early January to 80.8K by late March.
