In the first quarter of 2024, theme park enthusiasts in the United States engaged with their favorite parks' apps with varying degrees of intensity. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a window into the performance of these applications on the iOS platform.
My Disney Experience saw its revenue fluctuate, peaking at nearly $244K in the last week of March. Downloads for the app maintained a steady pace, averaging around 50K per week, while weekly active users showed a slight decline from 232K to 219K by the end of the quarter.
Disneyland®, another Disney app, demonstrated a steady revenue stream, though it dipped to around $18K in the final week of March. The app's downloads remained consistent, with a high of 40K in the second week of January, and active users hovered around the 100K mark throughout the quarter.
The Universal Orlando Resort app, despite showing no revenue, had a noteworthy increase in downloads, reaching nearly 36K in the last week of March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 91K and growing to nearly 95K by the quarter's end.
Universal Studios Hollywood™ also reported no revenue but saw a significant spike in downloads to over 26K in the last week, compared to the start of the quarter. Weekly active users increased from 47K to 42K, indicating a growing interest as the quarter progressed.
Lastly, the SeaWorld app's downloads and active users experienced an uptick towards the end of the quarter, with active users peaking at 35K and downloads climbing to over 23K in the final week.
