With a focus on the UK's iOS platform, the first quarter of 2024 has shown varied trends in the Virtual Fitness Programs category. Here's a quick roundup of how the top apps fared, with insights from Sensor Tower.
JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit experienced a fluctuating trend in revenue, starting the quarter with $117K and closing at around $65K. Downloads began at 46K and saw a dip, ending the quarter at 20K. Weekly active users also saw a decrease from 131K to 106K.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed a more stable performance in revenue, beginning at $213K and ending the quarter on a high note with $188K. Downloads for Strava peaked at 27K in the first week and stabilized to around 21K by the end of March. The app maintained a robust active user base, starting at 483K and slightly decreasing to 449K.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run saw its revenue start at $98K and finish the quarter at $89K. The app's downloads witnessed a slight uptick from 20K to 23K. The weekly active users showed growth, improving from 31K to 38K.
For NHS Couch to 5K, the revenue data was not applicable. However, downloads started at 19K, decreased over the quarter, and ended at 8K. Active users began at 88K, dipped mid-quarter, and slightly recovered to 72K by the end of March.
Lastly, Runna: Running Training Plans had a consistent revenue stream, starting at $118K and dipping slightly to $108K. Downloads saw a downward trend from 16K to 6K. The weekly active user count started at 32K and ended the quarter at 27K.
