During the first quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Sweden exhibited varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance.
Bolt: Request a Ride showed a mixed trend in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter at around 10.4K, downloads fluctuated and ended at approximately 8.1K in the last week of March. Active users maintained a more consistent pattern, peaking at around 106.8K in late February and stabilizing around 99.6K by the end of the quarter.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 11K in early January to about 6.9K in the final week of March. The app's active users showed a slight decrease from 404K at the start of the quarter to roughly 394K at the end, with some fluctuations in between.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively steady weekly downloads, starting at 365 and peaking at 592 in late February before dropping to 448 by the end of March. Active users showed a slight increase from 7.3K in early January to about 7.8K in late March, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
inDrive. Save on city rides saw a modest increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 779 in mid-February before settling around 350 by the end of March. Active users peaked at approximately 3.4K in mid-February and ended the quarter at around 2.8K.
Careem – rides, food & more exhibited a consistent trend in weekly downloads, starting at 495 and ending at 370. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 2K and ending the quarter at around 1.8K.
