In the first quarter of 2024, the convenience store sector has seen varying performances across its top applications on the unified platform in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides a snapshot of how these apps are resonating with users in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Dollar General experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 97K downloads and peaking at 160K. The app's weekly active users showed a similar pattern, with an initial count of 1.44M and reaching up to 1.61M midway through the quarter before settling at around 1.47M.
Circle K saw an upward trajectory in downloads, beginning the quarter with 83K and rising to a high of 130K. Weekly active users for Circle K also grew, starting at 462K and increasing to 569K, before a slight drop to 515K by the end of the quarter.
The 7-Eleven: Rewards & Shopping app maintained a steady presence with downloads initially at 50K and reaching 63K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 1.36M and peaking at 1.42M.
Family Dollar showed a general decrease in downloads from 56K to 36K over the quarter. Weekly active users saw a slight fluctuation, beginning at 109K, rising to 116K, and dipping to around 98K towards the end.
Lastly, Wawa had downloads ranging from 33K to 41K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users saw a gentle increase from 376K to 395K, with a closing figure of around 389K.
