Q1 2024 Dining & Restaurants Apps Surge in the UK

As we delve into the first quarter of 2024, the United Kingdom's dining and restaurants applications have shown varied performance across the board. Sensor Tower provides us with a closer look at the trends in downloads and weekly active users for the top 5 apps in this category.

Starting with McDonald’s U.K., the app experienced a steady download trend, starting the quarter with approximately 58K downloads and peaking at 128K in mid-March. Weekly active users remained above 1M throughout the quarter, with a high of around 1.27M in the last week of March.

The KFC App UKI - Order & Delivery saw a decrease in downloads, from 82K in the first week of January to around 29K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users also reflected a downward trend, starting at 424K and dipping to 323K.

Greggs maintained a relatively stable download count, with a slight increase from 36K to 43K over the quarter. Its weekly active users showed modest fluctuations but remained under 290K for the period observed.

The Subway® - Official App experienced a significant spike in downloads at the end of January, reaching 93K, but then observed a gradual decline to 22K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 188K, yet ended the quarter slightly lower at 116K.

Lastly, Domino's Pizza Delivery showed an interesting pattern, with downloads peaking at 46K in mid-February before tapering off to 37K. Weekly active users remained fairly consistent, hovering around 360K to 390K, with a slight increase to 368K in the last recorded week.
