State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2024, the top education apps in the United Arab Emirates showcased varied performance metrics on a unified platform. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for the leading applications.
Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $33.3K in early January and seeing a notable low of around $12.9K mid-February before recovering to about $17.8K by the end of March. Downloads for this app remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 8.5K and 10.4K weekly. Active users saw a peak of 80K in mid-January, but there was a general decline, ending the quarter with about 68.5K users.
School Hack had an interesting quarter in terms of downloads, with a significant spike to over 10.2K in the first week of February but tapering off to just 23 downloads by the last week of March. Revenue trends for School Hack were minimal, peaking at around $32 in mid-March. Active users saw initial growth from 143 to 5.9K by mid-February, but this number declined to 2.6K by the end of March.
Speak English with Praktika showed a steady rise in revenue, starting from $1K in early January and peaking at around $2.6K in late February. Downloads peaked at 6.3K in late January but declined to around 2.3K by the end of March. Active users saw a sharp increase early in the quarter, reaching 8.3K by late January but gradually decreased to about 5.5K by the end of March.
Lingutown - Learn Languages saw impressive growth in downloads, starting from just over 100 in early January and climbing steadily to nearly 7.9K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 3.7K in early January and peaking at 13.6K by the end of the quarter.
Lingokids - Play and Learn maintained a consistent weekly revenue, ranging between $7.2K and $10.3K throughout the quarter. Downloads were stable, fluctuating between 2.2K and 4.2K. Active users saw a peak of about 13.4K in mid-February but slightly decreased to around 11K by the end of March.
