The first quarter of 2024 saw significant activity in the navigation and maps app sector in Saudi Arabia. Here is a detailed look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on Sensor Tower data.
Google Maps Go had a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at over 60K in the first week of January. The app saw fluctuations in downloads, dipping to around 33K in mid-March, but climbing back up to 41.5K by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers remained strong, fluctuating between 4.3M and 4.6M throughout the quarter.
Radarbot Speed Camera Detector experienced a notable increase in revenue, reaching around $13.6K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads varied, starting at 19.9K in early January and peaking at 26.5K in the second week. Active users also showed an upward trend, ending the quarter at approximately 58.8K.
Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass saw steady growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged to around 21.2K in mid-March, while active users climbed from 20K at the beginning of January to 33.7K by the end of March. Revenue remained modest, peaking at $11 in mid-March.
JESR | جسر demonstrated a remarkable spike in downloads, especially in the second week of February with over 59K downloads. Active users also rose significantly, peaking at 53.6K in the last week of February before stabilizing around 41.2K towards the end of the quarter.
Finally, Google Earth maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads ranging between 10K and 15.2K. Active users showed steady growth, reaching approximately 541K by the end of March.
