In the first quarter of 2024, the top five navigation apps in Oman showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared:
Google Maps maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 7.5K in late January. The app saw a general decline in downloads towards the end of the quarter, settling at about 4.4K by the last week of March. Active users hovered around 390K, with a slight dip in early March before rebounding to approximately 382K by the end of the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 1.2K in early January and ending at 772 in the final week of March. The app's active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 100K mark throughout the quarter.
Qibla Finder Compass 100% showed a notable spike in revenue, particularly in mid-March, where it reached $933. Weekly downloads also saw a significant increase in the same period, peaking at 1.6K. Active users for this app remained steady, averaging around 3K throughout the quarter.
Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS had an interesting quarter with a substantial increase in revenue, hitting $298 in early March. Downloads were highest in mid-February, reaching 1.3K, but dropped to 337 by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 1.5K mid-March before falling to 1.3K.
Speedometer 55 GPS Speed & HUD maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads ranging around 300, peaking at 363 in late January. Revenue saw a minor peak at $42 in the last week of March. Active users remained stable, averaging around 1K throughout the quarter.
