In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 personal finance budgeting and planning applications in Italy showcased interesting trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers detailed insights into these metrics.
Splitwise saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from 17.9K in early January and peaking at 12.9K by the end of March. Weekly revenue fluctuated, reaching around $1.1K in early January and stabilizing to a range of $595 to $850 towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 73.1K and 89.4K throughout the quarter.
YouApp - Banco BPM maintained a steady download rate, hovering between 5.3K and 6.6K per week. The app consistently attracted around 175K to 188K active users weekly, indicating solid user engagement throughout the quarter.
Tricount - Split group bills experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 10.6K in early January and rising to 7.1K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw minor fluctuations, peaking at $537 in early January and settling around $376 towards the end of the quarter. Active users ranged between 13.4K and 17.1K, showing a stable user base.
Money manager, expense tracker had a varied download trend, starting from 7.8K in early January and declining to 3.3K by the end of March. Weekly revenue peaked at $563 in early January and remained within the $277 to $452 range throughout the quarter. Active users showed a consistent pattern, ranging between 34.8K and 40.8K.
Monefy: Money Tracker experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 4.6K in early January and dropping to 1.2K by the end of March. Weekly revenue decreased from $606 in early January to around $219 by the end of March. Active users saw a slight decline, ranging from 10.9K to 14.4K throughout the quarter.
