In the first quarter of 2024, platformer games continued to engage audiences on mobile platforms. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how these games performed in the United States. Here's an insight into the top 5 platformer games.
Subway Surfers maintained its popularity with consistent weekly active users peaking at 9.27M by the end of March. Downloads hovered around the 250K to 300K mark weekly, while revenue trends saw a peak of $59K in early January and a low of $42K towards the end of the quarter.
Geometry Dash Lite showed a slight decrease in weekly active users from 5.29M to 4.37M during the quarter. Downloads saw a dip in mid-January but experienced a steady increase to 217K by the end of March. Revenue trends for the game fluctuated, with a high of $44K in the first week of January and settling at around $27K by the end of Q1.
Build A Queen, while not generating revenue, saw an interesting trend in user engagement. Weekly downloads varied, with a spike of 178K in mid-January and again at the end of March. Active users showed growth, beginning the quarter at 1.08M and climbing to 1.24M.
Going Balls experienced a modest revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at $3.2K in the first week. Downloads peaked at 198K in mid-February, and active users saw a slight decline from 541K to 494K by the end of March.
Lastly, Weapon Master: Gun Shooter Run demonstrated an upward trend in weekly active users, starting at 394K and reaching 645K. Downloads peaked at 162K in late January, while revenue showed a high of $20K in late February.
