As we delve into the performance of the top shoot'em up games in Europe for the first quarter of 2024, we see a diverse landscape of user engagement and download trends. Sensor Tower's recent analysis sheds light on the trajectory of these popular titles.
1945 Air Force: Airplane games, a creation of 1SOFT, kicked off the quarter with impressive numbers, boasting approximately 200K downloads in the first week and maintaining a steady pace with a slight dip to around 140K downloads by the end of March. Revenue for the game fluctuated, peaking at nearly $100K in the last week of March, while weekly active users saw a high of 1M in late January, later stabilizing to just under 950K.
Space shooter - Galaxy attack also from 1SOFT, opened the quarter with over 100K downloads and reached its zenith with over 130K in early February. Weekly active users peaked at 870K in mid-January, yet there was a noticeable decrease to approximately 780K by the quarter's end.
Moving on to Galaxiga Arcade Shooting Game, we observed an initial download count of 110K that dipped to around 70K in early March. Weekly active users hovered around the 320K mark throughout the quarter, with revenue showing a peak of $42K towards the end of January.
For Galaxy Attack: Shooting Game, the quarter began with a download count of around 130K, which decreased to about 72K by the quarter's final week. Revenue showed a strong finish at $75K in the last week of March, while the game maintained a weekly active user base close to 700K.
Lastly, Little Hero: Survival.io from Chad Game, the newest entrant with its release in February 2023, showed an impressive upward trajectory in downloads, soaring from 40K to over 140K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed suit, growing from 250K to nearly 400K in the same period.
