In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 shopping apps in Germany saw varying performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire had an impressive start to the quarter with weekly downloads peaking at around 519K in mid-January. However, downloads gradually declined, reaching approximately 158K by the end of March. Active users showed a more stable pattern, starting at 3.7M and peaking at over 4.2M in late February, before ending the quarter at 3.9M.
SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a significant rise in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, starting at 117K in early January and hitting nearly 298K in the last week of March. The app's active users also increased steadily, from 1.4M at the beginning of January to about 1.9M by the end of March.
Lidl Plus experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 97K and reaching about 152K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar pattern, rising from 1.3M in early January to over 1.6M by the end of March.
Kleinanzeigen - without eBay maintained a steady rate of weekly downloads, fluctuating around the 80K to 90K mark throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 6M in early January and ending the quarter at around 6.1M.
Mein dm saw a notable decrease in weekly downloads, from around 140K in early January to about 44K by the end of March. Despite this, the app's active users showed a more stable trend, starting at 1.4M and hovering around the same range, ending the quarter at 1.4M.
