During the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 shopping applications in Malta exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads and user engagement. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared:
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at 5.4K in early January and peaking at 6.2K in mid-January. The numbers slightly fluctuated but remained stable, closing the quarter with approximately 5.8K downloads in the last week of March.
Lidl Plus experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads through the quarter. The app started with 837 downloads in the first week of January, surged to 3.4K by mid-February, and then tapered off to 805 downloads by the end of March.
SHEIN - Shopping Online demonstrated a fluctuating download trend. The app began the quarter with 1.4K downloads in early January, peaked at 1.9K in the last week of March, showing a slight dip mid-quarter but ending on a high note.
The AliExpress Shopping App had a relatively steady performance in weekly downloads. Starting at 530 downloads in the first week of January, it peaked at 730 in late February, before closing the quarter with 461 downloads in the last week of March.
Lastly, Alibaba.com showed a declining trend in downloads over the quarter. Beginning with 611 downloads in early January, the numbers gradually decreased to 384 by the end of March.
